Dua lipa is an English singer/songwriter born August 22, 1995 in London. The singer-songwriter signed with Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as a model. The label dropped her debut album, self-titled in 2017. The album peaked at number 3 on the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and her U.K. number-one single New Rules which peaked at sixth in the United States. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Awards for British female solo artists and British breaking-through act in the year of 2018. The album was certified platinum across the world. Dua Lipa, is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on the 22nd of August, 1995. She is of Bosnian heritage via her maternal grandmother. Her ancestors can also be traced back to Kosovo town of Peja. Her two great-grandparents are historians. She is a sister to Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin.
